The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the situation, pushing millions more into food insecurity and poverty. In 2015, the world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a set of 17 goals and 169 targets to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all.
