From God-Fresh - God: The Eternal Journey of Salvation Through Jesus Christ

In a world searching for hope and redemption, the story of Jesus Christ remains the ultimate message of salvation—from His eternal existence with God, to His humble birth in human flesh, and back to His divine glory as Savior of the world. This Christmas, let us rediscover the profound journey that changed humanity forever.

Jesus: Eternal with God, Incarnate in Flesh, Divine Savior

Before the foundations of the world were laid, Jesus existed eternally as God. The Bible declares in John 1:1-2: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning." Jesus, the Word made flesh (John 1:14), stepped into human history not as a mere prophet, but as God incarnate—fully divine and fully human.

He came in the "human flesh" to live among us, experience our joys and sorrows, and ultimately offer Himself as the perfect sacrifice. Yet, He returned to His God form in glory after the resurrection, seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us. This divine journey—from eternity with God, through earthly flesh, to victorious salvation—forms the heartbeat of the Christian faith.

The Miraculous Birth: Why Christians Must Celebrate Christmas

The birth of Jesus in Bethlehem was no ordinary event. Born under Roman occupation, amid political turmoil and Herod's ruthless attempts to eliminate Him, Jesus entered a world desperate for a Savior. Prophecies foretold His coming: the virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14), born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2), and as Emmanuel—"God with us" (Matthew 1:23).

His birth signifies God's fresh intervention in human history: light piercing darkness, hope conquering despair. It marks the moment God became accessible, dwelling among us to bridge the gap caused by sin. Without this incarnation, there would be no cross, no resurrection, no salvation.

This is precisely why Christians must joyfully celebrate Christmas! It commemorates the arrival of our Redeemer—the reason for eternal hope. Ignoring Christmas diminishes the foundation of our faith: God's love demonstrated through the gift of His Son (John 3:16). As believers, celebrating Christmas proclaims the Gospel anew, reminding the world that Jesus came to save sinners like us.

The Culmination: His Death and Triumphant Words

The journey of salvation reached its climax on the cross. In His final hours, Jesus uttered profound words that reveal His mercy, fulfillment, and victory. These last seven words—drawn from the Gospels—encapsulate forgiveness, assurance, care, anguish, thirst, accomplishment, and surrender.

To reflect deeply on this pivotal moment, I recommend my book *The Last Seven Days and the Last Seven Words of Jesus Before Dying*. It guides you through the passion week, illuminating the depth of His sacrifice for our redemption.
