There are seven prayer postures, each backed by biblical references. Here's a breakdown of the postures and their scriptural meanings:

1. Sitting: _1 Chronicles 17:16–27_ – David sits before God in thankful meditation, showing prayer can be reflective and intimate.

2. Standing: _Nehemiah 9:5, Mark 11:25, Luke 18:13_ – Standing expresses faith, reverence, and boldness in petitioning God.

3. Walking: _2 Kings 4:35_ – Praying while moving reflects continual communion with God in daily life.

4. With Hands Up: _2 Chronicles 6:12–13, Psalms 63:4, 1 Timothy 2:8_ – Lifting hands symbolizes surrender, worship, and openness to God.

5. Kneeling: _1 Kings 8:54, Ezra 9:5, Luke 22:41, Acts 9:40_ – Kneeling shows humility, repentance, and earnest supplication.

6. Bowing: _Exodus 34:8, Nehemiah 8:6, Psalms 72:11_ – Bowing demonstrates deep respect and adoration for God.

7. Prostrate: _Joshua 7:6, Ezra 10:1, Matthew 26:39, Mark 14:35_ – Lying face down indicates total surrender and intense intercession.
