How to Adapt to Climate Change and Ensure Food Security in Zambia Zambia is a landlocked country in Southern Africa that depends largely on agriculture for its economy and livelihoods. However, the country is facing the challenges of climate change, which are affecting its crop production and food security. According to the National Adaptation Plan for Zambia 1 , the country has experienced increased frequency and intensity of droughts, floods, high temperatures, and wind storms in the past decades, resulting in reduced crop yields, soil erosion, water scarcity, and crop losses.
